ALEX LAURETANO IN OUR WORLD CUP INTERVIEW SPOTLIGHT Alex Lauretano USA - an outstanding athlete In the past year, three-event Waterskier Alex Lauretano USA has been one of the most consistent performers of the season. This is no coincidence. This third generation Lauretano athlete was born in Bristol, Connecticut in 1988. At just 17 years of age, she was already the Can Am Slalom, Tricks, Jump and Overall Champion. In 2006, she moved on to be the Junior US Masters Jump Champion plus the USA National Jump, Trick and Overall Champion. In 2008, she took the U21 Pan Am Trick, Jump, Slalom and Overall titles – plus the title of the World University Tricks Champion. It is hard to believe that Alex has still not reached the age of 21 with so much success achieved. Her long hours of training...

STAR MONDAY INTERVIEW – MANDY NIGHTINGALE USA Mandy Nightingale in the World Cup spotlight Born in Oklahoma, USA, and on the water since the age of three, World Cup Mandy Nightingale is a total athlete with many other talents. She took her BA Degree in Communications and her Masters in School Counseling. Some years ago, she also had an opportunity to become a professional Basket Ball player as her performances caught the attention of several pro coaches. While many now see her as the ultimate Tricker / Shortboarder, she is a very talented three eventer. The highlights include a five-time US Open Trick Champion, two-time US masters Tricks Champion, World Champion in Tricks in both 2003 and 2005 – and she set a World Tricks Record of 8740 points in 2006.  Mandy has taken World...

JONATHAN TRAVERS MONDAY INTERVIEW The name Travers is a special one in our sport – and his entry to the World Cup series has certainly impressed many. His parents, Jack and Lelani,  have made an enormous contribution as coaches and mentors and hosts to hundreds of skiers over the years. They have also produced some outstanding champions. Their two talented sons, Chris and Jonathan, grew up in a very special atmosphere at Sunset Lakes in Okahumpka, Florida, and both are already impressive athletes. At the top of the pile right now is 21 year-old Jonathan – and as we can see, all that training and dedication is really paying off.
