With Melbourne’s 50th Moomba Masters coming up in the first week of March, the World’s top Waterski and Wakeboard athletes are training hard right now for the very significant season opener on the Downtown Yarra River. The Entry List is one of the strongest ever and most of the World Cup Stars will feature in this spectacular annual event. Being the 50th anniversary makes it even more exciting.

Kyle Eade, known to his many World Cup friends as Kiwi, recently moved back home to NZL from his Waterski School business located at the USA Waterski HQ on Lake Grew where he and his World Cup partner Scot Ellis USA have started to develop a very successful operation. His move back to NZL was to help him prepare for Moomba – before the World Cup season kicks off later. Details at this time are sketchy – but we understand that he had a serious crash while training for jump. He is now in the Intensive Care Unit but has not yet had surgery and is in a stable condition. His farther Murray is with him. He appears to have neck injuries and at present has no movement in his legs. As one of the great professionals in our sport, his many friends around the World will be hoping for the best for him over the coming hours. His many World Cup fans also wish him all the best at this very worrying time.

Kyle has dominated our sport in NZL in Jump, Tricks and Overall for a generation, is a two-time US National Collegiate Overall Champion and a two-time Asia/Australasia Overall Champion. He took a BBA Degree in Marketing at the University of Central Florida where he now has his home and Ski School business.
