HUGE CROWDS AGAIN ENJOY OPENING EVENTS AT KUCHING SARAWAK BORNEO STOP Stars of Florida in Kuching Practice kicked off on Friday at 07.30hrs on the downtown river site here in Kuching. With 32C from dawn, Riders and spectators were on site from the very start. By 09.30hrs, both Women and Men Practice was completed. The local organisation directed by Hanifah Yoong has been flawless and time management has been perfect from the start. Following the Practice session in rolly waters, it was time to introduce the Stars of Florida Ski Show Team. Don Buffa yet again delivered a sample for the crowd which brought early morning applause from the appreciative audience. Sarawak Crowds Pack The Waterfront Today As Wakeboard World Cup Stars Arrive In Kuching City For Tomorrow’s Event

  This 31st Wakeboard World Cup Stop has already attracted enormous crowds to the Sarawak River site in the centre of Kuching City in Borneo – even though the event does not start till tomorrow! As part of the historic Sarawak Regatta which dates back to 1872, over 100,000 spectators are expected to enjoy the Wakeboard World Cup Stop this Saturday and Sunday in these magnificent tropical surroundings. Supported by the Sarawak State Government represented by the Ministry of Tourism and Heritage, the organisers are the International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) and Waterski & Wakeboard World Cup Sdn.Bhd. Waterskiing – 14 Sep 2011 As all the focus of the Waterski & Wakeboard World Cup is on Kuching City in Sarawak this coming weekend, already preparations are also at an advanced stage in Linyi City which will host the 32nd Stop of the Series on the following weekend. Large numbers of spectators are expected at both major events. Facing the Yellow Sea in south east China on the Yihe River, Linyi City has a 2,400 year history and a population today of 10 million.
