LIUZHOU CITY SETS A VERY HIGH STANDARD FOR THE WORLD CUP SERIES IN GLORIOUS SUNSHINE

WORLD CUP STOP LOADED WITH VERY SPECIAL EXTRAS AND TONS OF GENEROUS HOSPITALITY This was the 28th Stop of the Waterski & Wakeboard World Cup series of the International Waterski & Wakeboard New Liuzhou World Cup fans enjoying our athletes in action Federation (IWWF). It was staged for the first time  in this South West Monsoon region of China – a major car manufacturing and tourist area. The pristine clean downtown River Liu was the venue. While over 50,000 spectators attended the World Cup competition, our hosts confirmed that there were an estimated 500,000 people at the Liuzhou Opening Ceremony attracts 500,000 spectators Opening Ceremony ! This level of exposure for our sport is one of the main objectives of the entire Series.  Live TV coverage distributed to 800 million viewers...

STARS RISE TO THE TOP AT LIUZHOU CHINA WORLD CUP PRELIMS

IT WAS A SCORCHER TODAY AT THE  INTRIGUING WORLD CUP PRELIMS IN LIUZHOU CHINA Temperatures exceeded 32C today with a very comfortable light head breeze and clear blue skies. Suntan lotion and Oakley’s were the uniform for all !  After the breathtaking Water Show and Fireworks display last night, the Liuzhou hospitality continued all day for the Riders and Skiers. Excellent food, on-time comfortable transport and first class on-site facilities for all the World Cup team added to the sense of excellence. LIUZHOU CHINA DELIVERS AWESOME OPENING WORLD CUP CEREMONY

WE HAVE JUST HAD A VERY SPECIAL WORLD CUP EXPERIENCE ! Tonight, following a Practice session on the River Liu, our World Cup Athletes and Team were invited to the Official Opening Ceremony. This was no ordinary Opening Ceremony. This was one to remember – probably forever ! Now that's a Starting Dock ! Liuzhou World Cup VIP Viewing Area final touches today Our World Cup Riders and Jumpers arrived at the riverside restaurant at 7.00pm and then began the short walk down the hill to the special World Cup viewing area. This walk alone was extraordinary as an estimated 500,000 people made their way to our World Cup site. You had to be here to really appreciate the experience. Once seated, the show began. FIRST LIUZHOU IMPRESSIONS ARE WOW !

ATHLETES ARRIVING AND SITE PREPARATIONS ARE ALMOST DONE Jumpers Jason Seels and Damien Sharman first to arrive at Liuzhou First impressions – this is going to be a very very special World Cup Stop !  The site is spectacular – riverfront surrounded by green hills with Pagodas on top plus Asia’s largest underwater fountain beneath the water surface between the World Cup Jump Ramp and the spectators. A massive red carpeted Stage with a huge sound and lighting system have been prepared for tomorrow night’s Opening Ceremony. LIUZHOU IS CERTAIN TO SEE A BATTLE OF THE WORLD CUP GIANTS In the coming 10 days, we will see the very best of both Wakeboard and Waterski Jump capture the imagination of the huge crowds anticipated in Liuzhou City in South West China. World Cup Stars head For Spectacular South West China To mark the 60th Anniversary of the Peoples Republic of China at the International Aquatic Carnival in the City of Liuzhou, the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) will present the next Stop of the successful World Cup series in a truly spectacular location.
