WHAT A PERFECT WAY TO FINISH OUR 2009 WORLD CUP SEASON This 29th Stop of the Waterski & Wakeboard World Cup Series ended with perfection on many fronts. In temperatures reaching 35C, the 51 athletes from 15 countries were provided with outstanding facilities in Putrajaya Malaysia for this last event of the 2009 World Cup calendar. Based at the Putrajaya Watersports Complex, a short distance from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, an estimated 20,000 spectators attended over the November 7/8 weekend. As a vacation destination, it is certainly one not to be missed ! The Waterski season of 2009 is going to be enormous for Jaret Llewellyn from Alberta in Canada. On the other hand, every summer since 1976 has been enormous for this World Cup star. Back in ’76, Jaret put on his first pair of skis at the age of six. Since then he has produced an unbroken series of extraordinary achievements. These include 114 Professional Wins, 11 World Records, 9 World Titles, 21 time PanAmerican Champion, 21 time Moomba Masters Champion and much more – plus even two Guinness Book of Records awards. CONGRATULATIONS – Now that we are just a few days from the end of another year, the International Water Ski Federation (IWSF) today announced the top awards of the year. We are delighted to see that both the male and female SKIERS and RIDERS of 2008 also happen to be four of the most outstanding Waterski and Wakeboard World Cup athletes.
