DISTANCE OF 77.4m SET BY CANADA’S RYAN DODD
Fans of our sport know that Freddy Krueger (USA) is almost untouchable on the Jump Ramp. In fact, he has dominated the world Jump Record stage without a break since 2005. His World Jump Record was 76.2m.
Today, on his own home lake, Ryan Dodd (CAN) has achieved an extraordinary distance of 77.4m behind the Nautique 200 boat – adding 1.2m to Freddy Krueger’s record.
This new World Jump Record approved by the IWWF is an extraordinary achievement and we wish Ryan the best of luck in the season ahead. What a fantastic few years it has been for this Canadian ! He has taken a bunch of prestigious titles including the Nautique Masters, US Open, Vladimir Filin, and Sentosa Night Jump. As the reigning World Jump Champion, he will defend this title again in September 2017 at the Waterski World Championships in Paris.
