EXTRAORDINARY PROGRESS FOLLOWING WORLD CUP IMPACT One of the great privileges flowing from involvement in our Waterski & Wakeboard World Cup series is recognising that it can make an important and very positive impact on entire communities. Inspired by seeing our top World Cup athletes in action, lives can change in a very positive way. Here is a great example that caught the headlines today. Malaysia hosted our World Cup for the first time at Putrajaya’s Watersports Complex in November 2008 – less than two years ago. The sport was almost unknown at that time. WORLD CUP STAR CLEMENTINE LUCINE DOES IT YET AGAIN Clementine Lucine scores 9100 points We are almost losing count of the number of Pending World Shortboard Records set by the very talented Clementine Lucine FRA.  At the Sergio Zanardi Open staged at the famous Italian waterski site in Recetto north of Milan, Clementine clocked up a total of 9100 points. She becomes only the second woman ever to break the 9000 mark – just 20 points ahead of the Record set by Natalia Berdnikova BLR. Three Eventer does it one more time Clementine’s Pending World Record will now be reviewed and hopefully all will be correct to enable that new 9100 points score to stand.  Congratulations to our World Cup Star – Clementine Lucine.

OUTSTANDING WATERSKI JUMP ATHLETE LEAVES IMPRESSIVE LIST OF ACHIEVEMENTS Sebastien DiPasqua hangs up his Jump skis Switzerland’s Sebastien DiPasqua has certainly blazed a trail of success during his outstanding career on the water. As one of our most respected World Cup athletes, he has decided to hang up his Jump skis and focus now on a new career. Recent injuries and thoughts of the future made the decision a natural one for him. Having studied Physical Training at the University of Dijon, he is well prepared for the next chapter in his distinguished life and we all wish him every success.
