July 19th, 2010 by des
EXTRAORDINARY PROGRESS FOLLOWING WORLD CUP IMPACT One of the great privileges flowing from involvement in our Waterski & Wakeboard World Cup series is recognising that it can make an important and very positive impact on entire communities. Inspired by seeing our top World Cup athletes in action, lives can change in a very positive way. Here is a great example that caught the headlines today. Malaysia hosted our World Cup for the first time at Putrajaya’s Watersports Complex in November 2008 – less than two years ago. The sport was almost unknown at that time. There were very few Malaysian Skiers or Riders. Last weekend, Putrajaya hosted a Round of the Malaysian Waterski & Wakeboard Championships.  A total of 83 athletes took part and half of these were from Malaysia. Putrajaya...

ANOTHER PENDING WORLD RECORD FOR CLEMENTINE LUCINE
July 14th, 2010 by des
WORLD CUP STAR CLEMENTINE LUCINE DOES IT YET AGAIN Clementine Lucine scores 9100 points We are almost losing count of the number of Pending World Shortboard Records set by the very talented Clementine Lucine FRA.  At the Sergio Zanardi Open staged at the famous Italian waterski site in Recetto north of Milan, Clementine clocked up a total of 9100 points. She becomes only the second woman ever to break the 9000 mark – just 20 points ahead of the Record set by Natalia Berdnikova BLR. Three Eventer does it one more time Clementine’s Pending World Record will now be reviewed and hopefully all will be correct to enable that new 9100 points score to stand.  Congratulations to our World Cup Star – Clementine Lucine.

WORLD CUP STAR SETS PENDING NEW WORLD SLALOM RECORD
June 14th, 2010 by des
CHRIS PARRISH HAD AN EXTRAORDINARY WEEKEND ! The Ski Ranch Tournament in Covington, Louisiana, USA, carved its name into Waterski history books yesterday – and so did Chris “The Tower” Parrish. Chris Parrish in action In the qualifying round, World Cup Star Chris Parrish did the impossible by equalling his existing World Slalom Record, not once, but twice in one day ! This has never been achieved before. Then in the Finals, he entered totally new territory by pushing the current World Record all the way to 2 buoys on the incredibly short 9.75m line. Remember that it is 11.5m from each buoy to the ski pole in the boat. In other words, somehow he was able to get around two buoys with a reach of 1.5m to make up for the line reduction. As they say in the USA, AWESOME...
