Waterski & Wakeboard World Cup Athletes in Korea’s World Leisure Games Confirmed Today – World Champions And World Record Holders Included

  On August 29th / 30th, the Waterski and Wakeboard World Cup series will celebrate the staging of its 30th Stop of this series in ChunCheon City, South Korea. As part of the first ever World Leisure Games, World Cup athletes from 17 countries will join over 13,000 athletes from 50 countries, scheduled to compete at this major inaugural international event. The 2009 World Wakeboard Championships were also successfully staged here at Uiam Lake just one year ago. To qualify for this 30th Stop of the World Cup Series only the highest ranked athletes in the world made it through. Waterski & Wakeboard World Cup Series Has Perfect 2009 Finale In Putrajaya Malaysia

  This 29th Stop of the Waterski & Wakeboard World Cup Series ended with perfection on many fronts. In temperatures reaching 35C, the 51 athletes from 15 countries were provided with outstanding facilities in Putrajaya Malaysia for this last event of the 2009 World Cup calendar. Based at the Putrajaya Watersports Complex, a short distance from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, an estimated 20,000 spectators attended over the November 7/8 weekend. As a vacation destination, it is certainly one not to be missed ! This was the second highly successful World Cup Stop organized by Putrajaya Corporation and the Malaysian Waterski Federation. It was staged for the first time in this South West Monsoon region of China – a major car manufacturing and attractive tourist area. The pristine clean downtown River Liu was the venue. Live TV coverage distributed to 800 million viewers was provided by 20 TV Stations in China’s CCTV network. This will all take place over the coming October 1st / 3rd weekend.
