PUTRAJAYA WORLD CUP – DAY 1 COMPLETE

The action really began here on Putrajaya Lake at 08.00hrs this morning. Visiting TV Camera crews, journalists and photographers crowded the Grandstand area from early morning. At 09.00 thr Hot Air Baloons took off with spectator rides and at 11.00hrs sharp, we kicked off with Slalom – followed by Shortbaord and Jump. It was Prelims all day. Mens Jump Prelims were pushed forward to Sunday at 08.00hrs due to failing light. With 33C and a good turnout of families  of all ages, the atmosphere was one of fun till dark.

Our World Cup Webcast Studio was set up on Friday night and in spite of a brief power cut, really did work well throughout. As it was the first World Cup Webcast ever, we already have a list of further developments prepared to make it even better in 2009. We hope you had the time to tune in an enjoy the spectacle.
