Dubna in Russia Welcomes Its Sixth Waterski World Cup Stop

DUBNA IN RUSSIA WELCOMES ITS SIXTH WATERSKI WORLD CUP STOP

The Waterski and Wakeboard World Cup series of the International Water Ski Federation (IWSF) is now commencing its sixth season in bringing the highest ranked athletes to compete at major downtown locations around the world. To date, twenty-six successful Stops have been completed, hosts cities and organizers have invested over US$10 million in the project, cash prizes of US$2.5 million have been awarded and 52 different TV shows and edits have each been distributed to over 500 million viewers.

The City of Dubna in Russia, located in the Region of Moscow, has the unique distinction of successfully hosting more World Cup Stops than any other in the world today. Each year, close to 30,000 Dubna area spectators fill the purpose built arena seating area to capacity. City Mayor Valery Prokh and his colleagues have turned the event into a major annual celebration which is one of the most popular amongst the international athletes due to the enthusiastic reception given each  year to the competitors.

MasterCraft, as the official boat sponsor for all previous World Cup Stops, will again supply the competition boats and support systems for this sixth World Cup season.
