WORLD CUP PREPARATIONS – JARET LLEWELLYN CAN

The Waterski season of 2009 is going to be enormous for Jaret Llewellyn from Alberta in Canada. On the other hand, every summer since 1976 has been enormous for this World Cup star. Back in ’76, Jaret put on his first pair of skis at the age of six. Since then he has produced an unbroken series of extraordinary achievements. These include 114 Professional Wins, 11 World Records, 9 World Titles, 21 time PanAmerican Champion, 21 time Moomba Masters Champion and much more – plus even two Guinness Book of Records awards. In addition to this, having captured three World Cup Podium places in the 2008 series, plus 17 other awards in that same year, he is now preparing for a major double challenge in 2009 – World Cup awards  AND World Championships awards. The fact that Calgary Canada will host the World Championships on August 3/9,  in between World Cup Stops,  just adds to the focus of the most decorated Professional Waterskier of all time. Jaret is already playing a vital role in the promotion of the Calgary World Championships and has taken on this challenge with a total commitment.

Training in South America using all muscle groups !

Since the final 2008 Waterski World Cup Stop in Putrajaya, Malaysia, last November, Jaret traveled to South America to Chile and then on to Columbia to coach their National Waterski Team for the Junior World Championships successfully staged this month in Peru.

From South America, Jaret flew to Austria, the homeland of his lovely wife Britta, to catch up with some family snow skiing. For a near professional Ice Hockey player, this was time for some serious fun also with son Dorien on the slopes. He is already looking like a future Snow and Water skier to watch very closely ! From Austria it was back home to Florida where the weather has been a bit cool. However, when your Lake is within touching distance of your own kitchen window, intensive training in Tricks and Jump does not pose a serious commuting problem !
